ABOUT US

Midland Equestrian is a friendly, family run business based in Leicestershire. Most of our horses are purchased on the continent from training shows or as unbroken 3 year olds and come in to the country fully vetted and x-rayed.

All our horses are for sale but we don't just look for a quick turn over. The horses that we have are carefully and correctly produced and take part in all major shows and qualifiers both in the UK and Internationally; including Scope, RIHS, HOYS, World Breeding Championships, Blue Chip championships, and a number of CSI shows including CSI**Portugal, CSI***Spain, CSI y/h Lanakan, CSI***Lummen, CSI**Hardelot, CSI***Valkenswaard etc.

Most of the horses are ridden by a small lady rider and with this in mind we try to choose quality, forward horses that are athletic, careful, scopey and light in the hand. All the horses produced by Rachel will have been bought as youngsters normally 3 or 4 year olds so by the time it comes to selling the horse we know them inside out and are able to tell you all the information that you need to know good and bad! We also own a few horses in conjunction with others riders and whilst these horses will also be sold at some point we enjoy keeping up to date with their progress and watching them compete. At present we own horses with Dale Burnham, Billy Twomey and Tim Stockdale as well as two ponies competing with Pippa Allen.

As well as being busy competing we also offer a full range of training packages for both horse and rider and if you are thinking of buying a horse from abroad we can help by showing you round a selection of reputable yards, and providing you with details of a good vet and transport company.
